NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING City of Wichita –Wichita Transit Proposed KDOT Grant Application Wichita Transit will hold a public hearing at 1:00 P.M. on May 19, 2026, at 777 E. Waterman, Wichita, Kansas. The purpose of this hearing will be to receive input from the general public and private transportation providers regarding Wichita Transit's proposed grant application for assistance from the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) for the State Fiscal Year 2026, beginning July 1, 2026. This funding will support Transit Operations: fuel, benefits, operator wages and required local match for federal grants. The total KDOT grant request will be $1,327,731. If no input is provided, the proposed grant application will become the actual grant agreement unless otherwise amended.
