Notice of Vacancy: Board of Education Unified School District No. 259 Wichita Public Schools April 6, 2026 Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2022, that effective April 6, 2026, an appointment process was approved for a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Education of Unified School District No. 259, Sedgwick County, State of Kansas, for the At-Large position. Such vacancy will be filled by appointment of the Board of Education not sooner than 15 days following publication of this notice, and the appointee will serve until the expiration of the current term on December 31, 2027. The person to be appointed must be at least 18 years of age, reside within the boundaries of Wichita Public Schools, and be registered to vote in Sedgwick County, Kansas Interested persons are required to submit a completed application form that includes three (3) letters of reference.
