PUBLIC NOTICE OF ADOPTION IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, KANSAS IN THE MATTER OF THE ADOPTION OF: C.J.A.S (xx/xx/2011), A Minor. Case No. FR-2025-AD-000005 Notice is given that a petition in the Franklin County District Court of Kansas, by Tyler Fender, is seeking the adoption of the minor child, C.J.A.S, born 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita, Kansas and alleges that the consent of JOHNNY RAY SMITH, PARENT is not required pursuant to KSA § 59-2136. A hearing on the petition is scheduled on April 15, 2026, at 9:15am, in the Franklin County District Court (301 S. Main St, Ottawa, KS 66067). Any person with legal standing, including any person claiming parental rights, wishing to contest must appear and file their objections with the court. Failure to appear at the hearing or file objections will result in the court granting adoption as requested in the petition. Parental rights may be terminated as part of the adoption process. The petitioner requests that the court grant the adoption of the minor child and issue an order terminating the parental rights of any individual whose consent is not required or who has failed to appear and contest the adoption.
