PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: On July 20, 2026, the Pasco City Council adopted Ordinance No. 4850, establishing a temporary six-month moratorium on the acceptance and processing of applications for certain data centers and high-density computing facilities within the City of Pasco. The Pasco City Council will conduct an open record public hearing on September 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Pasco City Hall, 525 N. 3rd Avenue, Pasco, Washington, to receive public testimony regarding the moratorium and consider whether additional findings of fact should be adopted. Public access to City Hall is available through the east and south entrances. Following the close of the public hearing, the City Council may consider the testimony received and determine whether additional findings of fact regarding the moratorium are appropriate. Moratorium Public Hearing: CA2026-009 – Data Centers (Moratorium): The Pasco City Council will conduct a public hearing regarding the temporary six-month moratorium adopted by Ordinance No. 4850 on July 20, 2026, concerning the acceptance and processing of applications for data centers, cryptocurrency mining facilities, blockchain computing facilities, artificial intelligence computing facilities, and other high-density computing facilities within the City of Pasco. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public testimony regarding the moratorium and to consider whether additional findings of fact should be adopted. Requests to comment remotely must be received by 4:00 p.m. on September 8, 2026.
