INVITATION TO BID
The City of Kennewick will receive sealed bids for RFB No. P2312-26 "Zone 2 East Olympia Transmission Main" at the Dan Frost Municipal Services Building, 1010 E. Chemical Drive, Kennewick, WA. 99336, until May 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM (PST), and then be publicly opened and read aloud in the Frost Building Main Conference Room.
The work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the construction of approximately 5,544 linear feet of 24-inch ductile iron potable water pipeline along S. Olympia Street between W. 19th Avenue and W. 36th Avenue in Kennewick, Washington. Additional work includes connections to the existing water distribution system consisting of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch water mains; installation of new fire hydrants and reconnection of existing fire hydrants; reconnection of existing domestic water services and meters; and all associated appurtenances, surface restoration, testing, disinfection, and other work necessary to complete a fully operational water system in accordance with the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Kennewick.
The project is funded in part through the Washington State Public Works Board program with state funds. Other funders include the City of Kennewick Water Capital Projects fund. All work performed on this project will be subject to state prevailing wage rates. The City of Kennewick is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
