NOTICE OF APPLICATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been proposed by the City of Benton City to amend the City's zoning map for approximately one acre from AG-Suburban to R-2 Residential. The request does not include any site-specific development proposal, construction, grading, clearing, utility extensions, or physical alteration. The State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) was completed on 10/24/2025 by: Zach Prindle, City of Benton City, PO Box 70, Benton City, WA 99320. The date of written determination of completeness was 11/14/25. Notice is further given that the said proposal was reviewed under the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act. The City of Benton City has issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) with respect to this proposal and its environmental impacts using the DNS process set forth in WAC 197-11-340. A copy of the threshold determination for this proposal may be obtained from the City of Benton City. NOTICE IS GIVEN that said applications will be reviewed by the City of Benton City and that all concerned persons will have fourteen (14) days from the date of publication of this notice to comment in writing on this action. This comment period may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of this proposal.
