Substantial Amendment to 2020 One-Year Action Plan Notice of 30-Day Public Comment Period and Public Hearing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) CV-1 and CV-3 Notice Pierce County Human Services is proposing a Substantial Amendment to its 2020 One-Year Action Plan to allocate the remaining Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG-CV1 and CDBG-CV3) funds. The proposed Substantial Amendment will be available for public review and comment for a 30-day period from September 4, 2026, through October 7, 2026. About the CDBG-CV1 and CDBG-CV3 Funds The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded Pierce County a special allocation of $1,868,635 in CDBG-CV1 funds and $2,555,708 in CDBG-CV3 funds to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Pierce County currently has remaining balances of $617,944.61 in CDBG-CV1 funds and $478,900.82 in CDBG-CV3 funds. The proposed Substantial Amendment available at www.piercecountywa.org/2781/Program-Plans identifies how these remaining funds will be allocated. Public Comment Period and Public Hearing The 30-day public comment period begins September 4, 2026, and ends October 7, 2026. Pierce County Human Services will present the proposed Substantial Amendment at the Citizens' Advisory Board (CAB) meeting on October 7, 2026, during which the CAB will also hold a public hearing.
