CITY OF DUPONT
HOFFMAN HILL RESERVOIR RECOATING AND SEISMIC UPGRADES
ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE $1,600,000
Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of DuPont, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, Washington 98327, up to 11:00 a.m.; local time on Friday, September 25, 2026, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the Hoffman Hill Reservoir Recoating and Seismic Upgrades.
Work under this Contract includes surface preparation and recoating the exterior of the 3.5 Million Gallon Hoffman Hill Reservoir located near the intersection of Packwood Avenue and Foreman Road. The reservoir is a ground-level, welded steel storage tank that was constructed in 1999. The tank is 24 feet tall and 160 feet in diameter. The interior of the reservoir was recoated in 2019. Work also includes replacement of a seismic actuated valve system, additional roof vent, new level gauge, and revisions to the access platform.
The Work shall be substantially complete within 100 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, DuPont, Washington.
The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the "City of DuPont" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.
A Prebid Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The conference will begin at the City Hall Building, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, Washington at 2:00 p.m. (local time). Prospective bidders are encouraged to participate. No unauthorized visits or unscheduled visits will be allowed.

Funding of the Project has been provided by City of DuPont, Washington, federal funding from the Environmental Protection Agency, and state funding from the Department of Commerce. The City of DuPont expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Proposal.

The contractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin or sex in the performance of this contract. The contractor shall carry out applicable requirements of 40 CFR part 33 in the award and administration of contracts awarded under EPA financial assistance agreements. Failure by the contractor to carry out these requirements is a material breach of this contract which may result in the termination of this contract or other legally available remedies.
