Pierce County Human Services has made available a Substantial Amendment to the Human Services 2008 and 2009 One Year Action Plans for public review and comment for 30 days from August 21 through September 23, 2026.
Substantial Amendment to 2008 and 2009 One Year Action Plans
This Substantial Amendment notifies the public of a proposed change in the scope of work for The Tacoma Rescue Mission's Adams Street Family Center project, which was funded with 2008 and 2009 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The original scope of work included the acquisition and construction of 20 units for emergency shelter and 16 units for transitional housing. This Substantial Amendment proposes revising the scope of work to provide 32 units of emergency shelter and four units for transitional housing.
Notice is hereby given A 30-day public comment period for review of this Substantial Amendment will begin on August 21 and will close on September 23, 2026, by 4:30 pm. Human Services will present the Substantial Amendment during the Citizens' Advisory Board (CAB) meeting on September 23 at 6 pm and the CAB will hold a public hearing on the Substantial Amendment.
