DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE
Description of proposal: The Water System Plan Update provides Strohs with an evaluation of its water system for the required planning period and aims to identify current and future supply and demand criteria, water system deficiencies and constraints, and planned capital improvements. The service area of the Strohs water system is approximately 1,154 acres or 1.8 square miles.
Proponent: Strohs Water System Plan
Location of proposal, including street address, if any: The Strohs service area is located in Gig Harbor within Pierce County and includes Sections 13 and 17-20, Township 21, North Range 2 East. The service area is illustrated in the Water System Plan Update.
Lead agency: Office of Drinking Water, Environmental Public Health Division, Washington State Department of Health
The lead agency for this proposal has determined it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request.
This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2). The lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from issuance. Comments must be submitted by 09-04-2026 to crystal.nuno@doh.wa.gov.
