PIERCE COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES Notice of 30-Day Public Comment Period, Public Hearing and Availability of Substantial Amendment to the 2019, 2022 and 2025 One Year Action Plans Notice Pierce County Human Services has made available a substantial amendment to the Human Services 2019, 2022 and 2025 One Year Action Plans for public review and comment for 30 days from July 31 through September 2, 2026. Substantial Amendment to the 2019, 2022 and 2025 One Year Action Plans This substantial amendment notifies the public of a change to the grant year funding associated with the 2022 Orting Senior Center/Orting Senior Center Addition project and the 2025 Pierce County Community Action Agency/Home Repair program. The Orting Senior Center project was awarded 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Facilities funding through the 2022 One-Year Action Plan. Under this amendment, $362,482.90 in 2025 grant year funding (Federal Award Identification Number [FAIN]) currently allocated to the Pierce County Community Action Agency/Home Repair program will be exchanged with $362,482.90 in 2020 grant year funding (FAIN) currently associated with the Orting Senior Center project. This amendment does not increase or decrease the total funding awarded to either project. Instead, it reassigns the applicable Federal Award Identification Numbers (FAINs), changing only the grant year associated with each award. The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that all 2020 grant year funds are fully expended before the September 2027 expenditure deadline. This substantial amendment also allocates $1,167.37 in 2019 CDBG funds to Pierce County's Community Action Agency/Home Repair program. Notice is hereby given A 30-day public comment period for review of this substantial amendment will begin on July 31 and will close on September 2, 2026, by 4:30 pm. Human Services will present the substantial amendment during the Citizens' Advisory Board (CAB) meeting on September 2, 2026 at 6 pm and the CAB will hold a public hearing on the substantial amendment.
