Multiple-Unit Housing Incentive Areas Regulations: The Planning Commission will be briefed on the multiple-unit housing incentive area regulations code package, prepared by Pierce County Council staff and reviewed by Planning and Public Works Long Range Planning Division. The code package amends the multi-family tax exemption chapter of Pierce County Code (PCC). The proposed revisions update the name of the PCC Chapter, expand the residential target area (RTA) pursuant to Chapter 84.14 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), update applicability requirements for tax exemption applications, and update monitoring and reporting requirements. This amendment concerns adding several definitions for different detention facility types by adopting State level definitions found in various RCW. After the briefing, the Commission will hold a public hearing followed by deliberations before making a recommendation on the proposed amendments. Written and verbal testimony will be accepted in person during the public hearing on this agenda item.
