Multiple-Unit Housing Incentive Areas Regulations:
The Planning Commission will be briefed on the multiple-unit housing incentive area regulations code package, prepared by Pierce County Council staff and reviewed by Planning and Public Works Long Range Planning Division. The code package amends the multi-family tax exemption chapter of Pierce County Code (PCC). The proposed revisions update the name of the PCC Chapter, expand the residential target area (RTA) pursuant to Chapter 84.14 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), update applicability requirements for tax exemption applications, and update monitoring and reporting requirements. Detention Facilities Code Update – Definitions:
The Planning Commission will be briefed on the proposed amendments to Pierce County Code (PCC) Title 18 regarding facilities that involve involuntary detention. This amendment concerns adding several definitions for different detention facility types by adopting State level definitions found in various RCW. After the briefing, the Commission will hold a public hearing followed by deliberations before making a recommendation on the proposed amendments. Written and verbal testimony will be accepted in person during the public hearing on this agenda item.

Agritourism – Study Session:
The Planning Commission will hold a study session to review drafted amendments to Pierce County Code (PCC) Title 18A regarding agritourism. The purpose of the study session is to review proposed changes and garner feedback. No recommendation is requested from the Commission at this time and public comment will not be accepted during the session.
