NOTICE OF REQUIREMENTS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AND REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS ARCHITECTRUAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES Pursuant to RCW 39.80.040, West Pierce Fire & Rescue (the "District") encourages all qualified architectural and engineering firms engaged in the lawful practice of their profession to submit a statement of their qualifications to the District at 3631 Drexler Dr W University Place, WA 98466 Attn: Koree Wick. The District will evaluate the information on file and interview one or more firms regarding a possible contract for professional services. This is a request for the provision of architectural and engineering services for the District's upcoming capital projects planning and development work, including assistance with development of project scopes, cost estimates, feasibility analysis, needs assessment, programming, planning, preliminary design, and related professional services for potential capital improvements that include, but are not limited to, Station 32, a potential new fire station, the District's training grounds, and additional logistics site/facility needs. Said services must be completed no later than February 28, 2027. The District will contract with the most highly qualified firm, or firms, under the criteria established by the District, which include but are not limited to: level of experience and responsibility, reputation, references from past municipal or private clients of the firm, familiarity with development of public and private projects in Pierce County, past dealings with authorities having jurisdiction within Pierce County, dealings with Pierce County Sewer (and the other utilities), City of Lakewood and City of University Place, critical areas, and development engineering. Minority and women-owned firms and veteran-owned firms are invited to submit their information. Any contract awarded pursuant to this RFQ shall not be construed as requiring the District to contract with the selected firm after the expiration of the project set forth herein.
