PIERCE COUNTY NOTICE OF DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE Shoreline Substantial Development Permit Conrad Residence and Dock Proposal SEPA Application: 1061359 Notice is hereby provided in accordance with PCC, Chapter 18.80 and Section 18D.40.050, and WAC 197-11-510 that Pierce County has issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) on the following proposal: Construct a single-family residence, ADU, and single-use dock in the residential and aquatic shoreline environments. The proposed dock is a 140- ft-long (136 ft over water) by 8-ft-wide single-use dock, consisting of a 76-ft by 4-ft pier (72 ft over water), 40-ft by 3-ft ramp (34 ft over water), and 30-ft by 8-ft float with a total of eight steel piles and two 3-inch piles to prevent the float from grounding out at low tide. Located at 341 Island Boulevard, Fox Island. Pierce County, acting as lead agency, has determined that the proposal will not result in significant adverse impacts on the environment. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will not be required. This decision was made after the review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file. This information is available to the public on request. DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340. Pierce County may not act on this proposal prior to July 10, 2026. Comments must be submitted by close of business on July 9, 2026. An appeal of this determination must be filed no later than July 23, 2026, online at www.co.pierce.wa.us, or at the Development Center, Planning and Public Works Department, Pierce County Public Services Building, 2401 S. 35th St., Tacoma, WA 98409 by filing the appropriate fee and Notice of Appeal.
