STEILACOOM HISTORICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS #2602 PROGRESSIVE-DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES GYMNASIUMS EXPANSION PROJECTS Submittal Deadline: June 29th, 2026, at 3:00 PM Steilacoom Historical School District requests qualifications from Progressive Design-Builders for the expansions of the gymnasiums at Steilacoom High School, Saltar's Point Elementary School and Cherrydale Primary School using the procurement permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected school projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. The project consists of improving the user experiences for the students and community by increasing the seating available and enhanced concessions and restroom facilities. Design is anticipated to begin in July/August 2026. Construction expected to start on SHS in the spring/summer 2027 and the elementary gym projects will be negotiated during the validation and planning phase. The Design-Builder shall provide high quality services including scheduling, phasing logistics, collaboration with the design consultants, manage and estimate design budgets and design contingency solutions, coordinate environmental and hazmat investigation services and plans, direct construction best-practices, organize design investigative work and provide assistance in the selection of materials and building systems, solicit and manage subcontractor bid packages and supplier bidding while providing high-quality construction services to safely deliver a superior project that comprises the full scope of program needs set by Steilacoom Historical School District that is on time and under budget.
