The site requires cleanup because there is fuel contamination in soil and groundwater. The Port of Tacoma owns the site and is the potentially liable party responsible for investigating and cleaning up toxic contamination at the site. Two documents are available for public review: Agreed Order No. DE 22282 is a legal agreement between Ecology and the Port of Tacoma. It requires the port to investigate contamination at the site, compare options to clean up hazardous substances, and suggest a cleanup plan to Ecology. Public Participation Plan is Ecology's outreach plan. It describes how we will contact the public about this site, and opportunities for public input. Questions?
