Public Notice: Open Bid for Amara Family Resource Center Abatement and Renovation INVITATION TO BID Project Name: Amara Family Resource Center Project Location: 3501 104th Street East, Tacoma, WA 98446 Owner: Amara Description of Work: In general, the Project comprises an interior renovation of approximately 50% of the existing Family Resource Center, + 2,917sf. Demolition includes: Remediation of Asbestos and other hazardous materials identified in Hazardous Materials Report (Section 02-22-10). (See attached Bid Packet) • Removal of wood frame construction and various finished materials. • Removal and modification of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical systems. • Construction includes new partitions, doors and frames, windows, finishes, HVAC, plumbing and electrical work. Amara is a non-profit organization: Their Shortened Mission Statement: Amara serves the evolving needs of children, youth, and families impacted by the child welfare system. Centering equity, we advocate for system change and bridge gaps by providing compassionate wrap-around resources, while helping to reduce trauma and bring healing. Our work helpsmaintain family and community connections while preventing child welfare involvement when possible. In the Bidding of this Project, they are looking for a corporate social responsibility plan. The following questions will be asked of the apparent low bidder (also identified on the Bid Form) • You will be asked for a schedule. Would you also provide a phasing or logistical plan to work with the Owner's occupancy during construction? Owner wants to be selecting the 'Best Value' while considering the Bids.
