The Commission will hold public hearings on the following items: Stormwater & Site Development Manual Update: Pierce County Planning and Public Works, Surface Water Management, is undergoing an update of the Stormwater and Site Development Manual to comply with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Stormwater Permit. The manual establishes detailed criteria and standards for all development work within the county to minimize adverse impacts from stormwater runoff that would otherwise result from development. Further, these amendments aim to establish clear siting, permitting, and safety regulations for battery energy storage systems in order to support clean energy goals while protecting public health and safety.
