Notice of 30-Day Public Comment Period, Public Hearing and
Availability of Substantial Amendment to the 2025 One Year Action Plan

Pierce County Human Services has made available a Substantial Amendment to the Human Services 2025 One Year Action Plan for public review and comment for 30-days from February 27 through April 1, 2026.
Substantial Amendment #2 to the 2025 One Year Action Plan
The first part of this substantial amendment is to notify the public of an increase in funding to an activity mentioned in the 2025 One Year Action Plan: the Pierce County Community Action Home Repair program. The Home Repair program was awarded $850,000 of the 2025 CDBG entitlement amount to provide home repairs to income qualified low- and moderate-income households. This substantial amendment is to notify the public that the program will receive an additional $300,000 in CDBG funds to assist in improving housing conditions by providing emergency repairs to eligible residents. The additional funds are from the 2019 CDBG entitlement award in the amount $55,000 and from the 2020 CDBG entitlement award in the amount of $245,000.
The second part of this substantial amendment is to notify the public of an increase in Activity Delivery Costs (ADCs) funding for seven Community Development Block Grant Public Facilities projects. Each project will receive an additional $15,000 for ADCs for Human Services Community Development staff. For further information on each project, please go to: piercecountywa.org/2781/Program-Plans.
Notice is hereby given A 30-day public comment period for review of this substantial amendment began on February 27 and will close on April 1, 2026, by 4:30 pm. Human Services will present the substantial amendment during the Citizens' Advisory Board (CAB) meeting on April 1 and the CAB will hold a public hearing on the substantial amendment on this date.
