CITY OF FIFE INVITATION FOR BIDS Wedge Park Improvements Project Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Fife - City Hall up to the hour of 1:00 p.m. March 4, 2026, for the Wedge Park Improvements project, located at 5920 Valley Ave E, Fife, WA 98424. This work includes furnishing the necessary materials and labor as described in the project specifications and drawings. Improvements to be included within this Project are as follows: Install the restroom building (provided by City, manufactured by Rometc) and connect utilities, add walkways, remove, and install new playground equipment, remove and install new play surfacing, basketball hoop, gazebo structure and other park amenities. A more detailed scope of work can be found in the bid packet. The city invites interested firms to bid on this project. This project is funded in part by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds administered by Pierce County through its Human Services Department, and by funds from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office through the Land and Water Conservation Fund. The project is therefore subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Community Development Act, the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, and the Build America, Buy America Act. A mandatory walk-thru meeting will be held at Wedge Park, located at 5920 Valley Ave E, Fife, WA, at 1:00 p.m. on February 10, 2026. The bid package is available on the City of Fife website. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this invitation and in the Bid Document. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked "sealed bid" with the bid opening date and time, and the project name as it appears in this invitation along with the name and address of the bidder. Bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City of Fife - 5411 23rd Street, Fife, WA 98424. Bids will be received only at City Hall. Bids received after 1:00 p.m., on March 4, 2026 will not be considered. The City of Fife reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding. No Bidder may withdraw their proposal after 1:00 p.m., on March 4, 2026, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com. This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool.
