COUNTY OF PIERCE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 26-002-CD-CDBG-PS FY 2026-2027 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT - PUBLIC SERVICES Pierce County Human Services anticipates receiving approximately $380,000 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in 2026 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027) and approximately $380,000 in 2027 (July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2028) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Human Services is soliciting applications for the 2026-2027 CDBG Public Services funds. This Request for Proposals (RFP) for approximately $760,000 in funding is for public services activities that will benefit Pierce County Consortium low- and moderate-income residents. This Public Services RFP is a two-year cycle; agencies funded in 2026 will be funded in 2027 subject to performance and funding availability. Public services eligible activities include a wide range of programs that meet the needs of low-income residents for such things as childcare, employment, health services, food and basic needs, transportation, services for senior citizens, and the homeless (this list is not all inclusive). The funding will be offered in the form of a grant to nonprofit, public, and government agencies.
