City of Lakewood Request for Qualifications for Camp Murray Boat Launch Master Plan
The City of Lakewood seeking a Request for Qualifications for its Camp Murray Boat Launch Master Plan. Lakewood, with about 64,000 residents, spans 20 square miles and is known for its lakes and open spaces, including Lake Steilacoom and American Lake. The City's Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department focuses on community partnerships, events, recreation programs, and park development. Additionally, the city has entered into an agreement with the Washington Military Department, Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Attorney General's office to develop the Camp Murray Boat Launch, a state-owned boat launch accessible to the public. The master plan will continue to ensure the launch and site is a usable and accessible area for recreation that considers the needs of safety, security, and water access for Tillicum Residents and the military bases nearby. This access should focus on pedestrian accessibility as well as boat accessibility as part of the guiding vision for improvements at Camp Murray. Lakewood seeks qualified consultants to help create a master plan for the Camp Murray Boat Launch.
