SUMNER-BONNEY LAKE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 320 REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS GC/CM SERVICES TEHALEH HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL EXPANSION Submittal Deadline: January 16th, 2026, at 3:00 PM Sumner-Bonney Lake School District requests qualifications from General Contractor Construction Managers for the Tehaleh Heights Elementary School expansion project using the procurement permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected school projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. In its continued efforts to meet the goals of the SBLSD Long Range Growth and Capital Facilities Plan, as well as the growth of the Tehaleh Heights neighborhood, the district will be using the GC/CM delivery model to add 8 or more permanent classrooms to the facility. This project will also include needed parking lot improvements for safety and traffic as well as miscellaneous improvements to facilitate the additional classrooms. Design has not started on the project yet, however, McGranahan/PBK was hired as the architect of record for the project. We are anticipating design and preconstruction services to begin in February 2026 with an anticipated Substantial Completion occurring in May 2028 with Occupancy for the Fall of 2028 school year. The GC/CM shall provide high quality services including scheduling, phasing logistics, collaboration with the design consultants, manage and estimate design budgets and design contingency solutions, coordinate environmental and hazmat investigation services and plans, direct construction best-practices, organize design investigative work and provide assistance in the selection of materials and building systems, solicit and manage subcontractor bid packages and supplier bidding while providing high-quality construction services to safely deliver a superior project that comprises the full scope of program needs set by SBLSD that is on time and under budget.
