Pierce County Invitation to Bid Parkland/Brookdale Interceptor Phase 5; Bid No. 2025-MPW-161 Bid Documents will be available online in the Pierce County Procurement Portal after 1:00 PM PST Monday, December 1, 2025 SCOPE OF WORK: The successful bidder will be responsible for the installation of approximately 2,475 LF of 72-inch diameter sanitary sewer pipe, eight (8) HDPE access portals/tees, and sanitary sewer stubs. The successful bidder will also be responsible for completing the installation of the sanitary sewer facilities within the timeframes and phasing specified within the Contract Documents. The Contractor will be required to provide multiple pipe installation crews working extended hours during specified calendar days and/or phases while under the direction of an on-site foreman or superintendent with minimum qualifications specified within the Contract Documents. The apparent low responsive bidder will be required to provide supplemental documentation to determine bidder responsibility, under the supplemental bidder responsibility criteria specified within the Contract Documents. The work also includes design, permitting, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal of temporary construction dewatering systems as necessary to complete the installation of the sanitary sewer improvements. PROJECT ESTIMATE: $10,000,000.00 - $13,000,000.00 not including WA State Sales Tax APPRENTICESHIP UTILIZATION: In accordance with RCW 39.04.320, for all public works estimated to cost two million dollars or more, the State of Washington requires no less than fifteen percent (15%) of the labor hours be performed by apprentices.
