INVITATION FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Fife at City Hall Council Chambers up to the hour of 1:00 P.M. on January 27, 2026, for the City of Fife Interstate 5 Port of Tacoma Road Interchange – Phase 2A project and will then be opened and publicly read. City Hall is located at 5411 23rd Street East, Fife, Washington. Proposals received after 1:00 P.M. on January 27, 2026, will not be considered.
The Port of Tacoma Road Interchange Phase 2A project, federal aid number HLP-9927(062), reconstructs the existing northbound off ramp and on ramp to connect to new intersections with Port of Tacoma Road and 34th Avenue East. The Phase 2A project also adds a new bridge on 34th Avenue East over I-5 northbound and southbound. The existing waterline along 34th Avenue East will be extended across the new bridge structure and over I-5 as part of the project.
This project has a Federal Small Business Enterprise (FSBE) goal of 13%.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday December 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at City of Fife City Hall, 5411 23rd Street East, Fife, Washington. Attendance of the pre-bid conference is voluntary. Deadline for bidder questions is 1:00 P.M. on January 21, 2026, six (6) calendar days prior to bid opening.
All bid proposals shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this invitation and in the Bid Document and said bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, postal money order, or a surety bond to the City of Fife in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Bonds submitted on other than the bond form provided by the City may be subject to rejection. Faxed bids and/or surety bond will not be accepted.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked "sealed bid" with the bid opening date and time, and the project name as it appears in this invitation and the name and address of the bidder. Bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City of Fife City Hall-5411 23rd Street, Fife, WA 98424.
The City of Fife reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.
No Bidder may withdraw his proposal after 1:00 P.M. on January 27, 2026, or before award of Contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days.

It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List".
