LEGAL NOTICE The State College Zoning Hearing Board will meet in a hybrid meeting on Nov. 10, 2026, at 12:30 PM to hear the following case. This meeting will be held at the Municipal Bldg, 243 S. Allen St., State College, PA in Room 241. Nina Volshanskaya, 824 Fairway Rd, State College, PA seeks a variance from the following provisions of the State College Borough Zoning Ordinance: §19-602.c – 40' front yard setback and §19-602.d – 8' side yard setback for non-dwelling accessory structures in the R-2 district; and §19-502.f(8)(h) – 5' side yard setback and 50' front yard setback (cartway) for detached carports and garages in all R districts (except R-1). The applicant proposes to construct a detached carport over the existing driveway. The proposed carport encroaches fully into all referenced setbacks. Requests for variances are heard by the Zoning Hearing Board as authorized by Ch. XIX, Part C, Section 301 of the Municipal Code. The public is invited to participate in the meeting.
