College Township INVITATION FOR BIDS College Township will receive bids for the UNIVERSITY DRIVE GLG TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFIATIONS project at the following intersection: University Dr (SR 3022) and Curtin Rd Bids will be received until 10:00AM on Thurs. Oct. 8, 2026 by College Township, 1481 E College Ave State College PA 16801. All envelopes containing bid proposals shall be clearly marked "UNIVERSITY DRIVE GLG TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATIONS BID". Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at the office of Trans Associates Engineering Consultants, Inc. 4955 Steubenville Pike, Suite 400. Pittsburgh, PA 15202, upon a non-refundable payment of $50.00 for each set of plans and specifications. Digital copies are also available upon request at no fee. Digital plan requests can be sent to Nicholas Schaefer at schaefern@transassociates.com. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of College Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. All bids must be submitted on a lump sum basis. College Township reserves the right to reject and and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and submit proof thereof with their bid. Pre-qualification code P and P4 of bidders, as specified in Section 102.01 of Publication 408, are required on this project. Bidders shall comply with all state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring or employment opportunities. Pennsylvania prevailing minimum wage rates will apply. Bids may be held by College Township for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
