LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Federal regulations require communities that receive entitlement Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds from the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development to complete a Consolidated Plan, which is a five-year planning document that identifies a community's housing and community development needs and a strategy to meet those needs. The Borough of State College is in the process of developing the 2027 Consolidated Annual Action Plan to prioritize activities to be undertaken with CDBG and HOME funds.
As part of the citizen participation process, the CDBG Citizens' Advisory Committee (CAC) will hold a public hearing to obtain the views of citizens, public agencies and other interested parties on housing and community development needs, the development of proposed activities, and proposed strategies and actions to affirmatively further fair housing. The CAC is interested in accepting comments on the need for affordable housing as well as the need for non-housing community development activities such as public improvements, public facilities, public services, and economic development.
The public hearing will be held during a CDBG CAC meeting at noon on June 10, 2026. Citizens are encouraged to participate in the hearing by attending either in person at the Municipal Bldg., 243 S. Allen St., State College, PA 16801, or electronically at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_CtAjiS51SSuH_L6KZa7-vg
