INVITATION TO BID Sealed Bids, which must be clearly marked "Sealed Bid – School Paving Project", will be received by the Mifflin County School District, on or before June 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm, prevailing time, at the MCSD Administration Building, 201 Eighth Street, Lewistown, PA. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that place and time for the following CONTRACT WORK PROJECT: SCHOOL PAVING PROJECT PROJECT No. 1 at the East Derry Elementary School 2316 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, PA 17044 PROJECT No. 2 at the Strodes Mills Elementary School 185 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Mcveytown, PA 17051 Contract No. 2026 - General Construction Contract Documents are to be obtained from The EADS Group, Inc. and are available in an electronic format at no cost to the prospective bidder. There will be a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference regarding the Parking Lot Paving at the Elementary Schools on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The conference will begin at the East Derry Elementary School, 2316 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, PA 17044. All contractors must attend. The Contractor shall adhere to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates as set forth in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall also comply with the provisions of the Act of March 3, 1978 (P.L. 6, No. 3 known as the "Steel Procurement Act"). All work shall be completed in accordance with PennDOT Specifications (Pub 408) as specified in the Contract Documents. The construction period is thirty (30) consecutive calendar days, beginning on or about June 8, 2026. All work must be completed no later than Friday, August 21, 2026.
