INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids, in duplicate, will be received by the Executive Director of the State College Borough Water Authority until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Thursday April 30, 2026 at the Authority's office, 1201 West Branch Road, State College, PA at which time, date, and place such Bids will be opened and read publicly for the following Contract: CONTRACT NO. 13-2026 OCCUPIED SPACE CARPET REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT 1201 W BRANCH ROAD STATE COLLEGE, PA 16801 Bidding Documents, including specifications, are on file and open for inspection at the Authority's office, 1201 West Branch Road, State College, PA 16801 (814-238-6766) during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.) Sets of documents may be obtained from the Authority. To obtain Bid Documents contact Brian Heiser at the above phone number or address. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check; or Bid Bond naming as payee or oblige, as applicable, the State College Borough Water Authority, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the Bidding Documents. The project consists of the removal and installation of approximately 2,378 square feet of carpeting. Interested and qualified bidders may schedule an appointment to inspect the areas slated for removal and replacement. Appointments can be made during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.). The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in the current list, "Companies Holding Certificates of Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (as amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department and shall be acceptable to the State College Borough Water Authority. All Bids shall be in a sealed envelope and plainly marked as follows: State College Borough Water Authority 1201 West Branch Road State College, PA 16801 ATTENTION: Brian Heiser, Executive Director BID FOR CONTRACT NO. 13-2026: CARPET REPLACEMENT The State College Borough Water Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or items therein, to waive any defects or irregularities in the Bids, and to accept any Bid which, in its judgment, is for its best interest.
