INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids, in duplicate, will be received by the Executive Director of the State College Borough Water Authority until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at the Authority's office, 1201 West Branch Road, State College, PA at which time, date, and place such Bids will be opened and read publicly for the following Contract: CONTRACT NO. 10-2026 CLEAN, PAINT AND REPAIR IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR TANK MAINTENANCE OF THE 1.25 MG FINISHED WATER TANK & TWO 250,000 GALLON CHLORINE DETENTION TANKS 235 Woodside Drive State College, PA Bidding Documents, including plans and specifications, are on file and open for inspection at the Authority's office, 1201 West Branch Road, State College, PA 16801 (814-238-6766) during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.) Sets of documents may be obtained from the Authority upon payment for each set of a non-refundable fee of One-hundred Dollars and No Cents ($100.00). Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check; or Bid Bond naming as payee or oblige, as applicable, the State College Borough Water Authority, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the Bidding Documents. A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE VISIT is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. at the Water Authority office, located at 1201 West Branch Road, State College, PA. The State College Borough Water Authority WILL NOT accept any proposal submitted by any bidder or his representative who has not signed the register at the time of the site visitation and inspection as set forth above. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in the current list, "Companies Holding Certificates of Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (as amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department and shall be acceptable to the State College Borough Water Authority.
