PUBLIC NOTICE Pursuant to the "Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act" and the "Clean Streams Law" notice is hereby given that Russell Stone Products, Inc. 2640 Greenville Pike, Grampian, PA 16838 has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for completion reports and for a change in land use on Large Non-Coal Permit 14050302 (Howard #3). The land use change is from Forestland to Unmanaged Natural Habitat as requested by the Pa Game Commission, the current landowner. The completion reports include a stage I bond release of $44,792. for grading and planting of 19.3 acres and a stage II bond release of $4,977. for reclamation meeting the capability of the post mining land use. Total bond in effect is $49,769. The 123 acre permit is located west off of SR-0026 approximately .3 miles southwest of the Borough of Howard in Howard Township, Centre County. The receiving stream is Bald Eagle Creek. The Howard and Mingoville PA, U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute topographic maps contain the area described. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Department of Environmental Protection, Moshannon District Office, 186 Enterprise Drive, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
