Legal Notice The Board of Supervisors of Harris Township will consider the adoption of an Ordinance amending Chapter 3 of the Harris Township Code to provide a license requirement to operate short-term rentals within Harris Township. In addition, the Ordinance establishes a title and declares a purpose of the Ordinance; makes certain findings; identifies authorizing legislation; provides for the scope and applicability of the Ordinance; defines certain necessary terms; establishes a requirement for a short-term rental license and declares a violation of the Ordinance to be a nuisance; provides for an application for licensure; establishes operational standards and conditions; creates exemptions to certain short-term rental requirements; establishes license fees; sets forth penalties for violations of the ordinance; provides for license revocation; provides for severability, a repealer and an effective date. The Board of Supervisors will consider the Ordinance at the Supervisor's meeting on December 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Township meeting room located at 224 East Main Street, Boalsburg, PA 16827.
