NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Arroyo Grande on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the following Officers:
For one (1) Mayor (Full term of two (2) years) For one (1) District 1 Member of the City Council (Full term of four (4) years) For one (1) District 4 Member of the City Council (Full term of four (4) years)
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE MEASURE C-26 YES
Shall the measure to maintain Arroyo Grande City services, including public safety, road maintenance, infrastructure repair, recreational programs, and other general City services by enacting a tax of up to 10% of gross receipts on cannabis businesses operating in the city if such businesses are permitted, NO estimated to generate approximately $500,000 annually, with spending oversight and until ended by voters, be adopted?
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE MEASURE D-26 YES
Shall the measure to repeal and replace Measure A (1990) and Measure E-16 (2016) to allow the City of Arroyo Grande to participate in the California State Water Project without requiring prior voter approval, providing another NO potential water supply source, be adopted?
The nomination period for these offices begins on July 13, 2026 and closes on August 7, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. If nomination papers for an incumbent officer of the City are not filed by August 7, 2026, the filing deadline will be extended to August 12, 2026. This extension is not applicable to incumbents.
If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by Section 10229, Elections Code of the State of California.
The polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
