PUBLIC NOTICE: INTENTION TO SELL OR DONATE SURPLUS INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS LUCIA MAR UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lucia Mar Unified School District intends to dispose of surplus or undistributed obsolete instructional materials that are still usable for educational purposes as outlined in Board Regulation 3270 and California Education Code Sections 60510 and 60511. Proposed Disposition: The District may sell these materials or donate them to other school districts, county free libraries, state institutions, United States public agencies, nonprofit charitable organizations, or individuals for the purpose of increasing general literacy,,. Any organization receiving donated materials must certify that they will not charge any person for the use of these materials. Opportunity for Public Input: In accordance with Education Code 60511, members of the public and representatives of the entities described above are invited to address the Governing Board regarding the distribution of these materials on August 4, 2026 at 7:00 pm, or as soon as practicable thereafter, at the Georgie O'Connor Board Room, located at 602-G Orchard Street Arroyo Grande, California.
