Ordinance Summary On August 25, 2026, at the County Administrative Center, 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA 95603, the Placer County Board of Supervisors adopted an ordinance 6392-B by a vote of 5:0 Ayes: Gore, Gustafson, DeMattei, Jones, Landon, Absent: None, Noes: None to amend Placer County Code (PCC) Chapter 17 (Zoning). Specifically, this ordinance will amend PCC Chapter 17 to establish and/or maintain consistency with applicable California laws governing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units (JADUs), including Government Code Sections 66310-66342. These PCC amendments address, but are not limited to, the zoning districts in which ADUs and JADUs are allowed and the requirements related to their development and permitting. The amendments to PCC Chapter 17 constitute a countywide Zoning Text Amendment.
