Summary of Adopted
Ordinance
to Amend Chapter 15 of the
Placer County Code
On August 11, 2026, during the regularly scheduled hearing, the Placer County Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance 6386-B to amend Placer County Code Chapter 15, Section 15.04.070 regarding temporary certificates of occupancy. The Ordinance allows temporary certificates of occupancy to be issued for model homes prior to acceptance of subdivision improvements by the board of supervisors contingent upon a determination by the chief building official, or designee, that such occupancy would not lessen health, accessibility, life and fire safety, or structural requirements. The Ordinance allows for model homes to be occupied for marketing purposes only, and does not allow for habitation of the model homes. The Ordinance is effective thirty (30) days after the date of its passage. The votes were as follows: 5:0 Ayes: Gore, Gustafson, DeMattei, Jones, Landon, Absent: None, Noes: None.
