AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2026-043 Adopted by the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF APPROVING SAFCA'S OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 ASSESSMENT ROLL AND SETTING THE ASSESSMENT RATE WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (SAFCA), in compliance with certain provisions of the California Water Code (Water Code), in June 1991, adopted Resolution No. 91-010 which formed the SAFCA Operations & Maintenance Assessment District (District); and WHEREAS, the provisions of the Water Code, under which the District was formed, provide for annual reassessments to be authorized by resolution without repeating the entire assessment district formation proceedings; and WHEREAS, on June 18, 2026, the SAFCA Board approved the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Proposed Budget, declaring its intent to raise an amount of $6,400,000 by assessments in the 2026-27 Fiscal Year. WHEREAS, on June 18,, 2026, the SAFCA Board set July 16, 2026, at the hour of 3:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers in the Sacramento County Administration Building 700 H Street, Sacramento, CA 95814, as the time and place set for consideration by the Board of all written and oral objections to the proposed assessments. WHEREAS, on July 16, 2026, the SAFCA Board did not meet the minimum quorum requirement and thus, no actions could be taken. WHEREAS, August 20, 2026 is the next SAFCA Board meeting for the Board to consider all written and oral objections to the proposed assessments NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SACRAMENTO AREA FLOOD CONTROL AGENCY BOARD OF DIRECTORS THAT: 1. The 20thday of August 2026, at the hour of 3:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers in the Sacramento County Administration Building 700 H Street, Sacramento, CA 95814, is fixed as the time and place set for consideration by the Board of all written and oral objections to the proposed assessments. Objections may be made by filing a written protest with the Clerk of the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency Board, at 1325 J Street Ste. 1700, Sacramento, CA 95814, at or before the time set for said hearing or by appearing at said hearing to give oral objections. 2. All materials for the public hearing will be posted on SAFCA's website: https://agendanet.saccounty.net/SAFCA/Meetings/Search?dropid=7&mtids=130 by close of business Friday, August 14, 2026. 3.
