Summary of Proposed Ordinance On August 11, 2026, during the regularly scheduled hearing, the Placer County Board of Supervisors will consider adoption of an Ordinance to amend Placer County Code Chapter 15, Section 15.04.070 regarding temporary certificates of occupancy. The proposed Ordinance will allow temporary certificates of occupancy to be issued for model homes prior to acceptance of subdivision improvements by the board of supervisors contingent upon a determination by the chief building official, or designee, that such occupancy would not lessen health, accessibility, life and fire safety, or structural requirements. The proposed Ordinance will allow for model homes to be occupied for marketing purposes only, and shall not allow for habitation of the model homes.
