ORDINANCE SUMMARY On June 9, 2026, at a regularly scheduled meeting, the Placer County Board of Supervisors (Board) approved the introduction of a county ordinance to amend Placer County Code, Chapter 4, Section 4.16.030(A) (Ordinance). 5:0 Ayes: Gore, Gustafson, DeMattei, Jones, Landon, Absent: None, Noes: None. The proposed Ordinance will be presented to the Board for final adoption on June 30, 2026. If adopted, the proposed Ordinance would amend the Placer County Code to increase the County's transient occupancy tax by an additional two per cent (2%), for a total of ten per cent (10%), in the County's Western Slope Transient Occupancy Tax Area, operative upon a majority vote held on the November 3, 2026 Statewide General Election.
