NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLACER COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS WHERE: Board of Supervisors' Chambers, 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA 95603 WHEN: June 2, 2026 at 9:00 AM or as soon thereafter as may be heard SUBJECT: Public Hearing to consider a resolution updating the Placer County Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office Schedule of Fees to reflect an update to fees charged for public services provided by the Treasurer-Tax Collector NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Placer County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing at the above place and time, or as soon thereafter as can be heard, to consider a resolution updating the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office Schedule of Fees to reflect an adjustment to fees charged for public services provided by the Treasurer-Tax Collector (Department). Several sections of State law and the State Constitution authorize the Treasurer-Tax Collector to charge fees for public services, provided those fees reflect the actual cost of service. The proposed updated Schedule of Fees includes the addition of five fees related to administrative costs incurred by the Department in processing certain specialized payments and/or delinquent taxes. Such charges for specialized services are governed by section 2.116.090 of the Placer County Code. If approved, the updated Fee Schedule will be effective on July 3, 2026.
