NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on May 27, 2026, Golden State Water Company (GSWC) will hold public hearings to present its 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) for its Cordova system at the following time:
9:00 AM (PDT)
Public hearings will only be held virtually by Zoom Webinar. Additional information on the public meeting, including a link to participate, is available on GSWC's website (gswater.com).
The purpose of the public hearing is to provide an opportunity for the public to provide input on the proposed UWMP and WSCP. We encourage your participation. California law requires water providers to develop UWMPs every five years and describe how projected water demands will be met under average and drought conditions over the next 20 years. UWMPs include evaluations of supply reliability and identify potential future actions related to conservation, recycled water, and other water supplies.
An electronic copy of the Draft 2025 UWMP and WSCP will be available for review on GSWC's website (gswater.com).
Public comments on the Draft 2025 UWMP and WSCP will be accepted during the public hearing at the times noted above. Written or recorded comments may also be submitted through May 27, 2026, via email at UWMP@gswater.com or by calling to the GSWC Customer Comment Line at 1-800-999-4033. When leaving a recorded comment, please state your name and the name of the water system for which you are leaving the comment. Upon conclusion of the public hearing and reviewing all comments, GSWC may revise the 2025 UWMPs and WSCPs prior to adoption.
If you need assistance accessing the draft documents, you may contact us at UWMP@gswater.com.
