Urban Water Management Plan/Water Shortage Contingency Plan Update
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF Section 10610 and following of the Water Code, Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD) has prepared an Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) and that SSWD intends to adopt the proposed UWMP and WSCP after a Public Hearing.
The UWMP and WSCP bring together important information on water supply and usage, and conservation programs at SSWD. SSWD is updating its 2020 UWMP and WSCP to reflect current conditions and legislation. The UWMP and WSCP present SSWD's efforts to promote efficient water use consistent with the California Urban Water Management Planning Act.
The proposed UWMP and WSCP changes are available for public inspection at SSWD's Administrative Office, located at 3701 Marconi Avenue, Suite 100, Sacramento, California. Copies of the UWMP (which includes the WSCP) can be downloaded from sswd.org.
NOTICE IS FUTHER GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held on the proposed UWMP and WSCP at a meeting of the SSWD Board of Directors to be held on May 18, 2026, at the hour of 5:00 p.m.
Upon completion of said Public Hearing, the UWMP and WSCP will be prepared for adoption with consideration of public comments during the Board's regular meeting.
