The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) intends to contract with one to three firms for Material Testing and Inspection (MTI) services. The Consultant shall provide MTI services for projects within one of three regions in the state of California. The Facility Planning, Construction and Management Division (FPCM) will proceed with three Agreements for these Consultant services. FPCM has divided the state of California into three geographic regions, northern, central, and southern California. The Consultant shall be licensed to practice in the state of California and all work shall be performed under and approved by a licensed design professional which meet the requirements of Government Code Section 4529.5 for management and supervision of work performed on State construction projects. The selected firms shall be called upon to provide MTI services on, but not be limited to: soils, reinforcing steel, structural steel, ceiling systems, structural connections, glazing, aggregate, concrete, fireproofing, roofing systems, concrete sealer, inspections, asphalt concrete, masonry, cladding, plant precast architectural concrete, curtain walls and reports. CDCR anticipates selecting a firm(s) to provide the required MTI services with funding anticipated to begin in fiscal year 25/26 and concluding in FY 28/29 assuming there are no budget delays in obtaining future funding. The Consultant shall be selected based on written responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and a verbal interview. To qualify for providing the MTI Services of this request for Statements of Qualifications, the firm and their subconsultants must be duly licensed and registered to practice in the state of California and all work must be performed under supervision by a California engineer. CDCR strongly encourages Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises and Small Business participation.
