NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION Para más detalles llame 1-800-660-6789 PROJECT NAME: RIO BRAVO 115 KV TAP RELOCATION PROJECT (PLACER COUNTY, T.000116666733 ADVICE LETTER NUMBE R: 7768-E Proposed Project: To accommodate Placer County’s planned Placer Parkway Project, a new east-west transportation corridor connecting State Route (SR) 65 (near Whitney Ranch Parkway) to SR 70/99, the County has requested that Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) relocate an approximately 1,200 foot section of the existing Rio Bravo 115 kilovolt (kV) Tap power line west of Industrial Road to an alignment south of the proposed Athens Avenue. PG&E will replace approximately four existing wood poles with up to approximately three new light-duty steel poles and one tubular steel pole (TSP) approximately 10 to 200 feet south of the existing alignment. To support the relocation, approximately two existing wood poles on the intersecting Lincoln- Pleasant Grove 115 kV power line will be replaced with two TSPs. Ranging from approximately 75 to 105 feet tall, the new structures will average approximately 40 feet taller than the existing structures to meet California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) General Order (GO) 95 minimum ground to conductor clearance requirements. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, or as soon as practicable after project approval. Construction is tentatively scheduled to be completed in approximately 60 days, or as soon as possible after construction begins. Exemption from CPUC Permit Requirement: CPUC General Order 131-E, Section VIII, Subsection B.4, exempts a utility from the CPUC’s requirement to file an application requesting authority to construct if a project meets specific conditions. This project qualifies for the following exemption: e. “Power lines, substations, or switchyards to be relocated or constructed which have undergone environmental review pursuant to CEQA as part of a larger project.” The County of Placer adopted the May 2015 Initial Study, Mitigated Negative Declaration (State Clearinghouse No. 2015052032), which included the proposed PG&E Project. https://ceqanet.lci.ca.gov/2015052032. Public Review Process: Individuals or groups may protest the proposed construction if they believe that PG&E has incorrectly applied for an exemption or that the conditions set out in Section III.B.3 of General Order 131-E exist; a. There is reasonable possibility that the activity may have an impact on an environmental resource of hazardous or critical concern where designated, precisely mapped and officially adopted pursuant to law by federal, state, or local agencies. Protests should include the following: 1. Your name, email address and daytime telephone number. 2. Reference to the CPUC Advice Letter Number and Project Name. A clear description of the reason for the protest. 1. Whether you believe that evidentiary hearings are necessary to resolve factual disputes. Within 30 days after PG&E has submitted its response, the CPUC Executive Director will send you a copy of a disposition letter granting or denying PG&E’s request and stating the reasons for the decision.
