TOWN OF CLOVER NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ORDINANCE NO. 26-07 Pursuant to S.C. Code § 6-1-330(A), notice is hereby given that Clover Town Council will hold a public hearing on November 9,2026 at 6:30 pm at the Clover Community Center, 120 Bethel Street, Clover, South Carolina. Ordinance No. 26-07 would amend Chapter 92 of the Town Code to establish permitting, inspection, protection, restoration, and enforcement requirements for private work performed on Town-owned or Town-controlled property, including grading, excavation, utility installation, soil disturbance, compaction, stockpiling, construction, and equipment access. The proposed permit fees are: Base permit: $100 Work exceeding 100 linear feet: $0.50 per additional linear foot Work exceeding 5,000 square feet: $25 per additional 5,000 square feet or fraction thereof Material permit amendment: $50 Additional reinspection: $75 Specialized outside review or testing: Actual reasonable cost When both linear and area fees apply to the same work, only the greater additional fee will be charged. Work under a Town-awarded contract and work approved as minor work will not be charged a permit fee. The fees will offset the Town's costs of reviewing, permitting, inspecting, and administering work performed on Town property. The public may comment at the hearing or submit written comments to the Town Clerk before the hearing.
