YORK COUNTY NATURAL GAS AUTHORITY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 York County Natural Gas Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the meeting room in the York County Natural Gas Authority's Customer Service Center located at 965 West Main Street, Rock Hill, South Carolina. This meeting is open to all interested persons. The purpose of this public hearing is to provide for public input into the proposed 2026-2027 budget of the York County Natural Gas Authority. The total operating revenue budgeted for the 2025-2026 fiscal year was $95,545,678 and total operating expenditures (including the cost of gas) were budgeted at $88,787,593. The budgeted operating revenue for fiscal year 2026-2027 is $100,257,908 and budgeted operating expenditures (including the cost of gas) are $91,979,833. This represents an approximate 4.9% increase in budgeted revenues and an approximate 3.6% increase in budgeted operating expenses (including cost of gas) for 2026-2027 when compared to those of 2025-2026. York County Natural Gas Authority is not empowered to levy taxes nor collect millage. All revenues for the Authority's operations are generated solely from the operations of the Authority and its natural gas sales. York County Natural Gas Authority is not a taxing entity.
