NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING YORK COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the County Council of York County, South Carolina (the "County"), on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the County Council Chambers, York County Government Center located at 6 South Congress Street, York, South Carolina 29745. The purpose of such public hearing is to receive comments regarding ordinances entitled: "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM FOR A PERIOD OF NINE (9) MONTHS ON THE CONSIDERATION OR ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS OR CONDITIONAL USE APPROVALS, ON THE ACCEPTANCE OF SITE PLANS, AND ON ALL OTHER LAND USE OR DEVELOPMENT APPROVALS FOR DATA CENTERS WITHIN THE UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF YORK COUNTY IN ORDER TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE COUNTY TO STUDY AND EXAMINE THE IMPACT OF DATA CENTERS ON CRITICAL RESOURCES, ADJACENT AND NEARBY PROPERTIES, AND/OR INFRASTRUCTURE, THEREBY ENABLING THE COUNTY TO PROPERLY AMEND THE YORK COUNTY ZONING AND LAND USE ORDINANCES WITH REGARD TO DATA CENTERS; TO PROVIDE FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME BY FURTHER RESOLUTION OF COUNTY COUNCIL IF AFTER PROPER NOTIFICATION TO COUNCIL, IT DETERMINES THAT THE EXTENSION IS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE STUDIES OR EXAMINATIONS CONTEMPLATED HEREIN; TO PROVIDE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING; AND TO PROVIDE FOR OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO." At the public hearing all taxpayers and residents of the County and other interested persons who appear will be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the ordinance. The ordinance can be reviewed or a copy obtained from the Clerk to the County Council or the County Manager at the County Council Office at 6 South Congress Street, York, South Carolina 29745 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
