Notice of Public Hearing
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., City of York will hold a public hearing to review the program performance and accomplishments conducted under the Railroad Avenue Sidewalk Project (CDBG #4-CE-22-014). The City of York will also review and solicit public comments on its Citizen Participation Plan. The hearing will be held at York City Hall, 10 North Roosevelt Street, York, South Carolina 29745. This project consisted of installing sidewalks along a portion of Railroad Avenue from Settlemyre Place to East Jefferson Street to improve safety and connectivity for pedestrians. The total project cost was $370,221 which includes $222,779 for construction; $71,942.00 for engineering work; $20,500 for acquisition, and $55,000 for administration and environmental review. Of the total project cost, $319,541 was covered with CDBG funds, and $50,680 was covered with local funds.
The Citizens Participation Plan is available for review at York City Hall, from 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday.
