NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING YORK COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the County Council of York County, South Carolina (the "County"), on March 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the County Council Chambers, York County Government Center located at 6 South Congress Street, York, South Carolina 29745. The purpose of such public hearing is to receive comments regarding ordinances entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 155: ZONING CODE, SUBCHAPTER C: USE REGULATIONS TO REQUIRE A SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR DATA CENTER USES IN THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ZONING DISTRICTS; TO APPLY CERTAIN CONDITIONS TO SUCH USES WHEN APPROVED AS A SPECIAL EXCEPTION OR AS A CONDITIONAL USE IN THE BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY DISTRICT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CONDITIONS RELATED TO SETBACKS, BUFFERYARDS, EQUIPMENT SCREENING, BUILDING FACADES, SOUND AND VIBRATION MITIGATION, AND COOLING SYSTEMS; TO INVOKE THE PENDING ORDINANCE DOCTRINE PURSUANT TO § 155.964; TO PROVIDE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING; AND TO PROVIDE FOR OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO. At the public hearing all taxpayers and residents of the County and other interested persons who appear will be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the ordinance. The ordinance can be reviewed or a copy obtained from the Department of Planning & Development Services at 18 W Liberty Street or the Clerk to the County Council at the County Council Office at 6 South Congress Street, both in York, South Carolina 29745, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
